I started getting interested in photography at a young age. When I was 10 my mother bought me my first digital camera which was a plastic Barbie camera that only held 7 pictures at a time. After my first year of college as a psychology major I changed my major to art/photography and since have invested in sevral new cameras which I frequently alternate between. I have 2 canon 35mm film SLR's, a Minolta digital SLR, a Canon digital SLR, and a Holga. I love each of them for different reasons, and they all give different ambience to my images. I am classically and alternatively trained in darkroom techniques, and I prefer to shoot black and white when I am going to be developing my own photographs. One of my favourite things to do is multiple exposures on one negative. Other than all of that, I mainly shoot musicians, but for my own personal work I am conceptually driven by music and you will find many themes within my work that mirror songs. In addition to that, you will also find many references to religion, the supernatural, and pop culture if you read between the lines. In the future I plan to finish my BFA and then begin graduate school in the fall of 2008.
